Our Solomon Islands expedition is an immersive 10-day journey into a remote tropical paradise—where untouched reefs, emerald jungle islands, and crystal-clear water set the stage for world-class freediving and spearfishing. Far from crowds and modern distractions, this is a rare opportunity to slow down, reconnect with the ocean, and explore a destination that few ever experience.

Based in an isolated island location, we spend our days exploring pristine reefs, sustenance spearfishing and refining our freediving skills in warm, clear seas. Every dive is an adventure—expect vibrant coral walls, shallow reef systems, blue-water drop-offs, and an abundance of marine life.

This trip is about more than just diving. You’ll share meals, stories, and daily life with local islanders, gaining insight into traditional customs, ocean knowledge, and a way of life deeply connected to the sea.

• 🤷‍♀️ Who: We welcome freedivers of all levels and experience!

  • Complete your level AIDA 2, 3 and 4 freedive certification at a leisurely pace while on the island, or take depth training to 50m and beyond with some of Australia’s deepest competitive freedivers.

  • For the spearos - beginner to advanced divers will be well catered for, however divers who can hunt at depths of 15m+ will experience opportunities on bigger and better fish. Want to learn? We’ll show you the way.

• 🛏️ Accommodation: We’ll be staying at Driftwood Eco-Lodge located in a protected pocket of the island where the rainforest meets the sea. Our accommodation fronts right onto the coral reef edge with depths starting at 1m meter and dropping away to below 100 meters of crystal clear water.

  ✈️ How to get there: Simply fly from Brisbane to Honiara. From there we will board a private charter together for the short flight to Seghe.

  In Seghe, a fast boat awaits to transport you deep into the picturesque Marovo Lagoon.

• 🌞 Weather: Tropical temps of 25-30 degrees during the day and balmy 29-30 deg water.

• 🍽️ Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by resort chefs using local, village-grown ingredients. Our own catch of the day will feature prominently in many meals and there’ll be opportunity to get involved in cooking with local ingredients if desired.

• 🏝️ Additional activities: In addition to the unlimited diving experiences on offer, there are an abundance of land-based activities to get involved in that will make the perfect rest days:

  • Daily breathwork and stretching to prepare for the day’s diving.

  • Village Tours - Meet the locals and experience the warmth of the island’s village communities.

  • Wood Carving - Learn from the local masters and take home your very own carving

  • Island hiking and exploration - The island is peppered with waterfalls nestled among beautiful, lush rainforest.

  • Wreck diving on WW2 ship and plane wrecks - Solomon Islands was the location of many major naval battles of WW2 and there are spectacular ship and plane wrecks scattered throughout the area to be explored both underwater and on the islands.

  • Morovo Lagoon exploration - explore the largest inland lagoon system in the world; home to manta rays, sharks, dolphins and abundant fish life.

  • Bulo Island cave diving, swim-throughs and coral gardens
