Join us for an unforgettable freediving retreat in the stunning underwater landscapes of Mount Gambier. This retreat welcomes freedivers of all levels, from beginners to advanced. Here’s what we have in store:
Courses for All Levels
Beginners: Complete your AIDA 1 or 2, or Wave 1 certification.
Intermediate to Advanced: Progress to more advanced courses, with instruction up to AIDA 4 available.
Comprehensive Training
Our retreat includes:
Daily Dive Sessions: Experience 2 dives in Kilsby Sinkhole and 2 dives in other spectacular locations.
Morning Breathwork and Stretching: Start your day with rejuvenating sessions.
Diverse Workshops: Enhance your skills with workshops on equalisation, technique, spearfishing and more.
Pool Sessions: Optional additional inclusion if you want to complete a course certificate.

Accommodation Options
Stay at our home base, conveniently located opposite the beach in Port Macdonnell, renowned as the Southern Rock Lobster capital of Australia. Enjoy easy access to excellent ocean dive spots and opportunities to observe and catch local marine life.
Accommodation options (available on a first-come, first-served basis):
Camping: $25 per night
Dorm-style Shared Room: $45 per night
Double Room: $100 per night
What to Bring
Freediving gear: Mask, snorkel, 5mm+ wetsuit, weight belt and weights, neoprene socks, and gloves.
Warm and comfortable clothes, sunscreen, towel, and personal toiletries.
Note: Some gear is available for hire, including 5mm wetsuits, essential for the 14°C water in Kilsby Sinkhole.
Retreat Schedule
The schedule is subject to change. Dives at Kilsby Sinkhole and Little Blue Lake are coached, with free time each day for social dives and buddying up. Divers are welcome to stay on for social dives (either seafood foraging in Port MacDonnell or snorkelling in Ewens Ponds) over the weekend (22 + 23 of March).
Day 1: Arrival - March 19th 2025
Guests arrive in Port Macdonnell on the 19th of March and meet at Home Base.
Group dinner to get to know each other.
Day 2: Kickoff - March 20th 2025
Morning theory or EQ fundamentals session at our Home Base.
Morning dive at Little Blue Lake to practice equalisation and acclimatise to depth.
Afternoon Dive in Kilsby Sinkhole.
Group meal at our home base, featuring plenty of fresh seafood.
Day 3: Diving and Foraging March 21st 2025
Morning breathwork and stretching session.
Morning dive in Kilsby Sinkhole to refine skills and capture stunning photos and videos.
Afternoon dive: Forage for crayfish and abalone at local dive sites or snorkel at Ewens Pond.
Group meal at our home base with fresh seafood on offer.
Day 4: Skill Enhancement - March 22nd 2025
Morning dive at Little Blue Lake
Planned Retreat activities conclude.
Divers are welcome to arrange extra nights accommodation at our home base to enjoy social diving over the weekend.
